DENR CIVIL SERVANT: WORK BEFORE BENEFITS!
As the rationalization phase continuous and already on its third wave, newly appointed and promoted DENR personnel of the first and second wave were given opportunity to be well-informed about basic rights and privileges as employee. Thus, an orientation entitled “Orientation Program on Basic Employee Rights, Privileges and Benefits” was conducted on February 17, 2016 at Goodchow, Boac, Marinduque. Almost everyone attended the said orientation with 34 newly appointed and 14 promoted personnel.
Civil Service Commission (CSC) Director II Josephine R. Altura gave emphasis about being a servant first before the desire for the privileges. Director Altura reiterated that being a public servant is not about the benefits but rather “a heart for serving people”.
PENRO MARINDUQUE LIVE AT “KAPIHAN SA PHILIPPINE INFORMATION AGENCY (PIA)”
In celebration of the 33rd DENR Anniversary and Philippine Environment Month, Imelda M. Diaz, OIC-PENR Officer was invited at the Kapihan sa Philippine Information Agency (PIA) on June 10, 2020 which was aired in Lucky Seven Channel 3.
PENRO Diaz highlighted the activities and programs of the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources- Marinduque in the province. She emphasized that despite COVID-19 pandemic, the DENR continued it delivery of service to clients or general public especially now that Marinduque is under Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ). Likewise, she announced that the DENR deviate from the usual celebration of having a grand assembly of officials and employees. This year’s observance of DENR’s day will be done through different initiatives. LAWIN patrollers of field Offices nationwide are deployed to conduct simultaneous anti-illegal logging operations.
There will be a tree planting activity on June 18, 2020 in Brgy. Tabi, Boac, Marinduque. This will be done by DENR employees only to avoid mass gathering. However, she encouraged those who are interested to conduct tree planting activity, to coordinate with DENR so that seedlings will be provided and area will be identified by DENR-PENRO.
She also invited the public to join the Digital Artwork Competition and Exhibition in Celebration of the Philippine Environment Month, with this year’s theme “Protect Nature, Sustain Our Future” which starts on June 5 until June 30, 2020. The said activity is open to all Filipino resident of Marinduque, aged 18 and above. The winner of the said activity will receive Ten Thousand Pesos (₱10,000) for the1st prize, Seven Thousand Pesos (₱7,000) for the 2nd prize and Five Thousand Pesos (₱5,000) for the 3rd prize. The elimination at the Provincial level will be on June 20, 2020. The winner for elimination round will receive Three Thousand Pesos (₱3,000) and Certificate of Recognition. Participants of this contest will receive eco-friendly IEC collaterals.
Furthermore, she reiterated that the PENRO-Marinduque Office is now open to its clients but it observes safety and health measures protocols in the workplace to prevent the possible spread of COVID-19 among the employee and clients.
