DENR MARINDUQUE PLANTS MANGROVE ON EARTH DAY
Mangrove tree planting is this year's activity of DENR Marinduque in the observance of Earth Day with the theme "Trees for the Earth. Let's get planting." held on April 22, 2016 which started at 9:00 in the morning at Barangay Tamayo, Sta. Cruz, Marinduque.
A short program and briefing was conducted before proceeding to the mangrove area. Regardless of the intense heat of the morning sun, the DENR personnel walked through the soft, thick and muddy ground as they planted the 400 potted mangrove seedlings. ###
