DENR HANDOG TITULO PROGRAM FEATURES IN THE CELEBRATION OF THE 119TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE BATTLE OF PULANG-LUPA IN MARINDUQUE PROVINCE
Torrijos, Marinduque – In celebration of the 119th Anniversary of the Battle of Pulang-Lupa, the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) of Marinduque headed by OIC, PENR Officer Imelda M. Diaz joins in the commemorative program hosted by Municipality of Torrijos and participated by Provincial Government of Marinduque, Municipalities of Boac, Buenavista, Mogpog, Gasan, and Sta. Cruz, various National Government Agencies and academe held on September 13, 2019 at Pulang Lupa Historical Park, Barangay Bolo, Torrijos, Marinduque wherein DENR Handog Titulo Program is one of the highlights of the event.
In a Keynote Address of Secretary Roy A. Cimatu, which was delivered by his representative, MIMAROPA Regional Executive Director Henry A. Adornado, he recalled how the Marinduquenos won in the Mountains of Torrijos during the Philippine American War on September 13, 1900. He also invigorated the other “battles” that we must continue to fight and must win such as “Battles for the Environment” and “Battle of Manila Bay” among others.
Moreover, it was mentioned that among the DENR’s priority programs that will directly benefit the people of Marinduque is Rapid Land Tenure Appraisal (RLTA) System. This was piloted last year in the Municipality of Boac, Capital of Marinduque.
During the program, DENR officials turned-over the bundles of Land Titles (Residential and Agricultural Patents) to the LGUs, represented by Gov. Presbiterio J. Velasco, Jr. and municipal mayors of six (6) municipalities of Marinduque. Selected patentees from Torrijos received their patents during the ceremonial turn-over.
The actual distribution of land titles to individual beneficiaries or “Handog Titulo Program” will be held on September 27, 2019 at Boac Covered Court, Brgy. Malusak, Boac, Marinduque. A total of 569 patents consisting of 238 residential and 331 agricultural free patents will be released.
PENRO MARINDUQUE HOSTS 2ND DENR ONE MIMAROPA REGIONAL MANAGEMENT CONFERENCE
DENR ONE MIMAROPA conducted its 2nd Regional Management Conference on June 17-20, 2019 spearheaded by the Regional Executive Director, Henry A. Adornado. This activity was participated by Assistant Regional Directors (ARDs), Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Officer (PENROs), Community Environment and Natural Resources Officer (CENROs), Regional Division Chiefs and Regional Directors from EMB and MGB, ERDB-UBRDEC and PWRCC, held at Balar Hotel and Spa in Barangay Balaring, Boac, Marinduque.
The 2nd Regional Management Conference highlighted the status and accomplishments of each Field Office in DENR-MIMAROPA. Issues and concerns were discussed and addressed. From then, strategic planning were drawn out the participants in order to continuously implement the plans and programs on due time. The opening program was graced by the Provincial Governor, Romulo A. Bacorro, Jr., and Marinduque Congressman, Lord Allan Jay Q. Velasco, who gave their inspirational messages.
The activity was also joined by Assistant Secretary for Human Resources Development and Legislative Affairs, Joan A. Lagunda D.M. and the Director of Human Resources, Director Ric G. Enriquez. ASEC Lagunda imparted the discussions on the policies on Human Resource and Legislative Affairs wherein she emphasizes the DENR Core Values and Ethical Standards of Public Officials and Employees. On the other hand, Director Enriquez shared his visions and knowledge on how to better apply HR Policies towards attaining the DENR’s Priority Programs. He also encouraged the Head of Offices to bring HR closer to Field Offices.
Likewise, a certificate of deputation and oath taking was also given to Wildlife Enforcement Officers (WEOs) from the different Municipalities across the province. ###
More than 400 bikers in Marinduque take part in protecting the environment
MOGPOG, Marinduque — In celebration of the 2022 Philippine Environment Month with the theme ‘Aksyon para sa Natatanging Mundo’ and 35th DENR Anniversary, the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources (PENRO)-Marinduque organized a Bike and Tree Planting Activity with the theme ‘Padyak para sa Kalikasan, Magtanim para sa Kinabukasan’ on Friday, June 10.
The bike activity kicked off at the Marinduque Provincial Sports Complex in Boac, going to Tabi-Buliasnin-Maligaya-Nangka-Laon service roads up to the Enhanced National Greening Program (ENGP) area in Barangay Capayang, Mogpog where the tree planting activity took place.
Present in the said event were different biker groups, national government agencies, provincial government, local government units, civil society organizations, non-government organizations, and advocates involved in supporting environmental activities.
Imelda Diaz, the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Officer said that one of the objectives of the event is to encourage participation of various stakeholders in rehabilitating and protecting the ecosystem through eco-friendly means of transportation, responsible ecotourism, reforestation and other good practices.
