DENR CIVIL SERVANT: WORK BEFORE BENEFITS!

As the rationalization phase continuous and already on its third wave, newly appointed and promoted DENR personnel of the first and second wave were given opportunity to be well-informed about basic rights and privileges as employee. Thus, an orientation entitled “Orientation Program on Basic Employee Rights, Privileges and Benefits” was conducted on February 17, 2016 at Goodchow, Boac, Marinduque. Almost everyone attended the said orientation with 34 newly appointed and 14 promoted personnel.

Civil Service Commission (CSC) Director II Josephine R. Altura gave emphasis about being a servant first before the desire for the privileges. Director Altura reiterated that being a public servant is not about the benefits but rather “a heart for serving people”.

MOGPOG, Marinduque — In celebration of the 2022 Philippine Environment Month with the theme ‘Aksyon para sa Natatanging Mundo’ and 35th DENR Anniversary, the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources (PENRO)-Marinduque organized a Bike and Tree Planting Activity with the theme ‘Padyak para sa Kalikasan, Magtanim para sa Kinabukasan’ on Friday, June 10.

The bike activity kicked off at the Marinduque Provincial Sports Complex in Boac, going to Tabi-Buliasnin-Maligaya-Nangka-Laon service roads up to the Enhanced National Greening Program (ENGP) area in Barangay Capayang, Mogpog where the tree planting activity took place.

Present in the said event were different biker groups, national government agencies, provincial government, local government units, civil society organizations, non-government organizations, and advocates involved in supporting environmental activities.

Imelda Diaz, the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Officer said that one of the objectives of the event is to encourage participation of various stakeholders in rehabilitating and protecting the ecosystem through eco-friendly means of transportation, responsible ecotourism, reforestation and other good practices.
