DENR-PENRO Marinduque and the Local Government of Torrijos Approved the Memorandum of Partnership Agreement (MOPA) for Rapid Land Tenure Appraisal (RLTA) Program
On December 16, 2020, the DENR-PENRO Marinduque represented by the OIC-PENR Officer Imelda M. Diaz and the Local Government of Torrijos, represented by Mayor Lorna Q. Velasco signed the Memorandum of Partnership Agreement (MOPA) for Rapid Land Tenure Appraisal (RLTA) program, witnessed by Chief, TSD Cynthia U. Lozano and Vice-Mayor Ricardo R. De Galicia.
Rapid Land Tenure Appraisal (RLTA) is a strategy identified by the DENR in support to accelerated land titling all over the Philippines and shall pursue Agenda no. 6 of the PRRD administration’s 10-point Agenda “Ensure security of land tenure to encourage investments and address bottlenecks on land management”. Likewise, it will also prevent double titling and land ownership conflicts as it provides a clear picture on the land tenure situation on the ground. Aside from providing security of land tenure to deserving beneficiaries, land titling will improve land market and ultimately increase the local government units’ revenue.
This RLTA program will be conducted by the DENR-PENRO Marinduque in the Municipality of Torrijos this coming year, 2021.
Active collaboration and partnership between DENR-PENRO Marinduque and LGU-Torrijos will ensure the effective implementation of the said program. ###
